I am Back!!!

Hello , fellow InsectNerds,

I am so sorry for disappearing for a while. I have had some big life changes and it's been tricky to complete any sort of blogging or vlogging work. It has been easier to record Tiktok shorts as it has been a less time consuming task to carry out then official vlogs or even blogging.

I am working on a Death-head Hawk-moth info vlog, and a short on how to look after the larvae( I may do a longer vlog as well because I have some fresh larvae!!)

I want to publish more pages as I have started them, but as my brain switches to the next thing pretty quick, I unfortunately don't finish everything. Another batch of jumping spiders have also hatched, so it may be a while before more pages are released onto the site.

Here are some updates.....

-My Poor Henry( African Pygmy Hedgehog) passed away a few months ago from Cancer. However, with death, came new life. My Pulchriyphyllium gigantea ( Giant Maylasian Leaf insects) have started to hatch and are feeding well.

More Jumping spiders have hatched, which was a surprise as I thought she had laid her last egg sack!

And I have these gorgeous Death-head Hawk-Moth larvae hatching as well. The female is still alive and thriving. As mentioned, I will be releasing more content on this soon.

Adult Deaths-head Hawk-moth

One of my Giraffe Stag beetles ( Prosopocoilis giraffa) has developed successfully. I had a panic as his pupae chamber disappeared, and as he had been under the soil for some time, I decided to carefully dig him up( I don't recommend this unless you know for sure the adult has fully devloped- digging up pupae that is too soft or newly developing adults can prove fatal!).

The second Giraffe Stag beetle is currently undergoing development as well as a Metallic Stag Beetle(Cyclommatus metallifer)

Here are what the pupal chambers/ developing adult looks like for the Giraffe stag...

The white bit is the Elytra. The exoskeleton is very soft. It will harden up and the beetle will turn its true colour when its fully developed.

Adult Prosopocoilis giraffe male (Minor)- I will go into this term another time!

Sid The Mexican Red Knee( Brachypelma hamorii)

Victor the Asian Forest Scorpion ( Heterometrus spinifer)

Have not taken enough photos but Margery and Margery the Titan Millipedes

And Deliah a type of Dead Leaf mantis, I think Deroplatys lobata. Have not taken photos as when I went to do it, she was in the middle of shedding her skin and I didn't want to disturb her.
